Aegean Airlines is the second biggest airline company operating in
Greece that serves both domestic and international flights.

Aegean Airlines is based in Athens Greece. It serves 14 cities in
Greece and 11 international routes. With 15 aircraft Aegean handles
over 2 million passengers annually.
Aegean Airlines operates an extensive network of flights from its
Greek base, and summer 2008 saw the commencement of direct flights
from London Stansted Airport to Athens.
Aegean Airlines is the largest Greek carrier, carrying 6.6 million
passengers in 2009, an increase of 10% over 2008.
Aegean Airlines began scheduled passenger operations in May 1999,
following the liberalisation of the Greek domestic market.
Aegean Airlines was
founded as Aegean Aviation in 1987. It was originally a VIP/business
air operation specializing in executive and air ambulance services.
Aegean Airlines is now in a code-sharing agreement with Lufthansa and
Air One, an Italian airline.
